Sierra Energy Wins Sustainability Category at 2016 Sacramento Region Innovation Awards
Sierra Energy wins the sustainability category at the 2016 Sacramento Region Innovation Awards. Sierra Energy is one of six Northern California companies to win at the inaugural awards. The program recognizes the area’s vibrant innovation community, from startups to established companies, and their breakthrough creations.
Sierra Energy’s FastOx gasifier won for their waste gasification technology that transforms waste into clean, renewable energy. Chief Strategist, Rob White, accepted the award on behalf of Sierra Energy. After a nomination period, a panel of 50 judges selected 17 finalists in six categories.
The six winners were announced at an event on Nov. 4 at the DoubleTree Sacramento. The awards were presented by Stoel Rives LLP, the Sacramento Business Journal and Moss Adams LLP.
